Mayor Durkan has extended the City’s eviction moratoriums through September 30, 2021. The Executive Order indicates that this will be the final extension of the residential eviction moratorium, but the 6-month grace period provided in Ordinance 126075 for those suffering a hardship due to COVID-19 will still apply, as will the City’s moratorium on winter evictions, thereby effectively prohibiting evictions for many through March 2022.

The text of the Executive Order can be found here.

This Executive Order extends the effects of the prior eviction moratoriums, a summary of which can be found here.
