On June 17, 2021, HCMP public finance attorneys Brandon Pond and Christi Jacobsen spoke at the LeadingAge Washington Virtual Conference & Expo 2021. Their presentation, “The Future of Financing Senior Living Facilities”, discussed options for financing the renovation, remodel, and brand new construction of senior living facilities -- with a special focus on tax-exempt financing and how it is changing (including as a result of COVID). Their talk also explored a different financing tool new to Washington -- Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy and Resiliency (C-PACER) -- and its possible utilization by senior living facilities.
