HCMP Welcomes Layla Khademi to the Land Use Group

HCMP is pleased to welcome Layla Khademi to the firm’s Land Use practice group.

Layla is a 2025 graduate of Seattle University School of Law, where she was actively involved in student organizations focused on equity and legal innovation. She participated in If/When/How, a national network for reproductive justice, and the SU Womxn's Law Caucus. As the Real Property Committee Lead for the Property and Tax Law Society, Layla organized events exploring key topics in property law. She also served as a Staff Editor for the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environmental, and Innovation Law, and externed with the NAIOP Washington State Government Affairs Committee under the supervision of HCMP attorney Holly Golden.

Layla holds a B.A. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, with a major in Marketing and a minor in Finance from Seattle University. She also earned an M.S. in Real Estate from the University of San Diego.

Before joining HCMP, Layla worked as a Regional Portfolio and Property Manager at Redside Partners, LLC, a Seattle-based residential and commercial property management firm. She also consulted and blogged for Seattle for Growth, an advocacy group focused on land use reform, where she analyzed legislative and regulatory trends in real estate. Her experience includes an internship with Starbucks Coffee Company’s Store Development department, where she rotated through financial leasing, asset management, real estate support services, and program management.
