Layla is an associate in the firm’s Land Use practice, where she supports clients navigating complex zoning, permitting, and development regulations. Her work includes legal research, drafting memoranda, and assisting with entitlement strategies for commercial and mixed-use projects. Layla previously was a Regional Portfolio and Property Manager with Redside Partners, LLC, a Seattle-based residential and commercial property management firm. Prior to that role, she was a freelance blogger and consultant for Seattle for Growth, an advocacy group promoting fresh land use codes to manage single-family neighborhood growth. There, she wrote and consulted about legislative and regulatory real estate trends. Layla also interned with Starbucks Coffee Company’s Store Development department, with rotations in financial leasing, asset management, real estate support services, and program management.
