Associate Attorney - Environmental

HCMP seeks an environmental attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join and help grow its thriving, nationally-ranked environmental practice. The ideal candidate must have a depth of experience working on sophisticated transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters involving contaminated property and application of the Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Experience with, or demonstrable interest in, real estate transactions and development involving contaminated property, environmental insurance claims, water law, and other diverse natural resources matters is a necessary component of this role.

Associate Attorney - Land Use

HCMP seeks an associate attorney to become an integral part of the firm’s land use team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of general land use experience and will be a team player, intelligent, detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills. In this position, you will work with the land use team representing our local, regional, and national clients in a full range of land matters, including feasibility analysis, permitting, regulatory monitoring and advice, and governmental relations.

Associate Attorney - Real Estate Finance

HCMP seeks an associate attorney to become an integral part of the firm’s growing lender services team, representing regional and national banks and private lenders in real estate-secured and C&I financing transactions. The team is part of a larger finance group comprised of ten attorneys and four paralegals handling a broad range of finance matters all over the Western United States.  The group is extremely active and the work provides a unique opportunity for direct and ongoing client relationships in a cooperative setting that promotes early development of primary client and billing responsibilities.

In addition to being service-minded, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, the ideal candidate will enjoy working with clients at all levels. Candidates should also have three to seven years’ relevant transactional experience, including documentation, negotiation, and closing of real estate-secured financing transactions on behalf of lenders.  Admission to the California bar is required.
