Environmental Firm Joyce Ziker Partners, PLLC Joins Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson P.S.
The attorneys and staff of the environmental firm Joyce Ziker Partners, PLLC (JZP) will joined the firm effective January 1. The combined firm of over 50 attorneys, along with other professionals, will operate under HCMP’s name.
The combination expands the firms' collective capabilities in the environmental, real estate, and corporate practice areas. HCMP Managing Partner T. Ryan Durkan explains clients will benefit from having access to a deep roster of talented environmental legal professionals with decades of experience assisting clients with acquiring, selling, redeveloping, and cleaning up contaminated properties throughout the Pacific Northwest. HCMP will also be one of the go-to firms for large Superfund allocation matters and complex soil, groundwater, and sediment sites. HCMP’s expanded environmental team will be able to serve the firm’s clients through the full range of environmental legal services including transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters.
“We are truly excited to bring such a great wealth of environmental legal talent together at HCMP, " said Andy Rigel, chair of the environmental team practice. "For HCMP, the combination greatly expands our environmental presence in the Pacific Northwest – where HCMP already has a premier reputation in the real estate and land use practice areas. Adding the caliber of environmental lawyers from JZP elevates HCMP’s environmental practice team to the same capacity and level as our other dirt-focused practices."
William Joyce, partner, similarly commented, “JZP’s strong reputation in the environmental legal field is an excellent fit with HCMP’s nationally recognized real estate and land use practice.” Bill added, "Bringing our teams together represents a unique collection of experience that will undoubtedly serve both firms’ roster of clients that span the full spectrum of the Pacific Northwest business community."
“I have long been impressed with the professionalism and knowledge base of the HCMP team,” said Barry Ziker, JZP managing partner. “Joining the firm provides our attorneys, staff, and clients with access to greater resources and practice depth as we strive each day to continue to provide the highest quality legal services to our clients.”
Ms. Durkan commented, “JZP shares the values most important to HCMP, including a relentless focus on client service and outstanding work product, and a commitment to an inclusive and diverse workforce. We are delighted to welcome them to the firm.”
