HCMP's Environmental Team welcomes Allyson Bazan, former assistant attorney general, to the firm as of counsel. This move highlights the significant growth the firm's environmental practices have seen this year. Allyson focuses on sophisticated transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters involving contaminated property and application of the Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). She represents clients in real estate transactions and developments involving contaminated property, environmental insurance claims, cost recovery litigation, and allocation of environmental liabilities. In addition to practicing environmental and natural resource law, Allyson advises on environmental policy development and problem solving for complex projects and regulatory reform.
“As we continue to expand our environmental practice, having Allyson on board to expand our strategic presence in the Pacific Northwest is an important next step in better serving our clients,” said Andy Rigel, leader of the firm’s Environmental team. “We are thrilled to welcome her to HCMP.”
Alyson earned her J.D. from Texas Tech’s School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
