HCMP principal Amit Ranade has been elected to the University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA) Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees manages the affairs of UWAA with responsibility for setting the tone and direction of the association. Board members are elected volunteers and serve on the executive committee, which is the policy-making body for the association.
Amit's practice at HCMP focuses on litigation and bankruptcy. He represents creditors, potential buyers and investors, and corporate debtors in bankruptcy. Outside of bankruptcy, he has handled broad range of litigation matters including commercial contracts, real estate, lending, employment, civil rights and liberties, environmental and land use, and construction. Amit has worked with a wide variety of clients including local municipalities, large and small private entities, and individual developers. In addition to his thriving practice, he serves on HCMP’s Management Committee, which sets the strategy for the firm, and currently serves as a Member of the Public Disclosure Commission. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association.
