Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson P.S. has announced that Seattle real estate finance lawyer - Erika Shinpaugh - has joined the firm as an associate. As a member of HCMP’s experienced Lender Services team, Erika will focus primarily on the representation of financial institutions and private lenders in connection with commercial lending transactions, with an emphasis on commercial real estate, construction loans, C&I financing transactions involving complex collateral, and loan syndications and participations.

She will also advise clients on a variety of real estate matters including acquisition, disposition, and leasing of real property, and forming partnerships and limited liability companies for real estate investment and development.

Before joining HCMP Erika served as an associate at Seattle-area firms Peterson Russell Kelly, PLLC and the Demco Law Firm, P.S. She serves on the Scholarship Committee for the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer attorney for the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project, and has been named to the Top Women Attorney and Rising Star lists by Washington Super Lawyers. Erika received her J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law and B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Washington. She also studied International Law at the University of Cambridge.
