Brandon C. Pond and Nicholas D. Timchalk have joined HCMP as associates - Pond in the firm’s Lender Services & Finance group, and Timchalk in its Real Estate and Business groups.

Brandon’s practice focuses on public finance and municipal securities law. He serves as bond counsel to a variety of governmental entities and counsel to underwriters and national banks for various tax-exempt and taxable bond financings. Brandon also advises issuers, underwriters and banks on compliance with SEC securities laws and MSRB rulemakings affecting the municipal securities market. Prior to joining HCMP, Brandon served as an associate for Chapman and Cutler, LLP in Salt Lake City. He received his J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, magna cum laude, and B.A. from the University of Utah, magna cum laude. He has been named a Rising Star by Mountains States Super Lawyers for 2014 and 2015.

A recent law school graduate, Nick assists clients with financing and commercial transactions, with an emphasis on commercial real estate and residential construction. He regularly prepares and negotiates loan documents for complex financing transactions. He also counsels clients regarding general business matters. Nick received his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law and B.A. from University of Idaho.
