HCMP was delighted to represent Macy’s in connection with the sale of the top four floors of Macy’s downtown Seattle store to Starwood for conversion to use as office space.  Details are included in this Puget Sound Business Journal article.  Macy’s will consolidate its retail operations onto the lower flowers of this iconic Seattle building and will continue to offer its full line of merchandise.

HCMP attorneys Ryan Durkan and Ann Gygi represented Macy’s on a variety of complex land use issues related to this project. At the same time, attorneys Chris Addicott and Steve Rovig assisted Macy’s in drafting commercial condominium and other transactional documents in connection with the sale.
