Profile

I joined HCMP in 1997, and have worked predominantly on real estate and business transactions and various secured lending arrangements, including debt and equity financing, leasing, property acquisition, property development, and sales. I have had the benefit of representing several institutional lenders and large real estate investment entities on a broad spectrum of transaction types, as well as individuals and smaller companies. Through these experiences, I have gained the perspectives of buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, tenants and landlords.

 

Professional Highlights

Represented multi-million dollar real estate investment entity in various complicated investment and financing structures in several states. Assisted client in working through complicated issues regarding entity structuring and documentation, subordinated debt, and master development liens and covenants.

Successfully assisted local and national banks, including KeyBank, First Horizon, and HomeStreet Bank, in structuring, documenting and closing construction and permanent loans for various property types.

Served as counsel for retirement plan trust entity/manager making commercial property investments in Washington, California and Oregon, through formation of partnerships and limited liability companies, and through secured lending arrangements.

Drafted and negotiated commercial and residential leases and litigated lease disputes on behalf of tenants and landlords, including Plymouth Housing Group, a leading affordable housing provider in the City of Seattle.

Assisted small, medium, and large businesses with transactional matters, including drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts relating to various business arrangements and relationships, employment matters, business restructuring and sales, and partnerships.

Chair of HCMP's Hiring Committee.

Serve as counsel for a wide-variety of clients buying and selling real estate.

Admitted to practice in Washington and California.

Recognized as a "Rising Star" by Washington Law & Politics, in 2006 and 2007.
