Profile

I joined HCMP in 2006 after working at the firm as a summer associate in 2005. My practice focuses on environmental, real estate, and land use law, with a particular emphasis on regulatory issues associated with contaminated properties. I have experience handling cost recovery actions under the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA), securing insurance coverage for environmental claims, conducting environmental due diligence for buyers of real property, drafting and negotiating holdback agreements and other forms of security to mitigate environmental risks, and negotiating water supply contracts. I also advise clients throughout the region on a wide variety of real estate and land use issues, including compliance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), rezones, administrative and judicial appeals, easements and leases.
